May Coding Challenge
May 12 - 18 is Mental Health awareness week and we wondered if members of Glasgow Libraries' CoderDojos could use code to make something to help people stay mentally healthy (or feel better if they feel sad or anxious). This would be useful all year round! Some possible ideas might be:
- Create a prototype digital pet that likes going for walks using a micro:bit worn on a wrist strap. Your pet can show how it's feeling by showing different "expressions" using the LEDs. If your micro:bit detects that you've walked a certain number of steps the pet looks happy. See below for some helpful resources for this.
- Create a greetings card in Scratch to send to a friend or relative to let them know you're thinking about them.
- Create a calming scene with relaxing sounds that people could look at when they're feeling stressed.
Or come up with your own idea!
