How to set up free accounts for different coding websites
All the coding websites we use are free and available at home as well as in libaries. Most can be used without creating an account, but being able to log in allows coders to save their projects. Below is a list of the various platforms and the links to set up accounts on them.
- Scratch click here
- Hour of Code click here
- TinkerCAD (creating 3D designs) click here and select "Create a personal account"
- Python uses the Raspberry Pi editor
- HTML also uses the Raspberry Pi editor
Micro:bit and Makecode Arcade are slightly different in that they need you to sign in using either a Microsoft or Google account. Here's how to set one of these up for your child.
